Bush Walks:
After a cup of coffee and rusks, you can join our ranger on
an early morning bush walk. You will experience the awakening
of the African bush as the song of birds welcomes the first
glimmer of sunlight that breaks through the dawn.
Big Five Game Drives:
We offer our guests morning as well as afternoon African Game Drives
in an open landrover, in Edeni Game Reserve. This 21000
acre wildlife reserve is one of the most beautiful and diverse
nature reserves in Southern Africa. It is straddled between
4 rivers and has a magnificent view over the Northern Drakensberg
mountains.

Bird Watching:
We have a variety of dams and waterholes where birdwatchers
can spend time.
Romantic Jacuzzi Evenings:
Romantic picnics by candlelight can be arranged at our Jacuzzi.
Our Jacuzzi is built under a thatch roof in the bush, and
hidden away from the lodge. There, couples can enjoy the
evening with champagne, fruits and other exotic snacks,
without being disturbed.
Midnight Bush experience:
For the adventurous, we can arrange a midnight bush experience.
Your ranger will drive you to an open place, deep into the
bush. There he will switch off the vehicle and lights, in
order for you to experience the night sounds under the starlit
skies. You will be amazed how lively it can get and how
different the bush looks at night. This is a truly magical
experience and will not leave you untouched. You will be
back at the lodge by one o’clock where the comfort
of your chalet awaits you with the unforgettable midnight game drive
fresh in your dreams.
Mountain Biking:
Mahlahla Game Lodge has beautiful viewpoints on the farm
as well as plains game such as giraffe, warthog, wildebeest,
kudu, impala, waterbuck and many more. This can be enjoyed
by guests wanting to go mountain biking. We have various
trails on the farm, and a mountain bike along with a
map can be obtained at reception.
